Energy Efficient Comfort in Your Home

Energy efficient windows increase your comfort in your home by reducing cold drafts and making a house feel warmer and cozier in the winter and cooler and drier in the summer.

They help control condensation because the interior surfaces of energy-efficient windows stay warmer (using low-e gas / argon), allowing you to maintain a higher level of humidity inside without worrying about condensation on your windows.

Have you ever noticed in older homes, perhaps your's, that when winter comes it gets awfully dry inside. That's why people have humidifiers. After they crank up the humidifier, they notice condensation on all their windows, sometimes so much so that they're windows actually drip water onto the frame and down the wall. Well insulated, energy efficient windows will eliminate this problem completely (just don't crank your humidifier up too high - 40% should be good and comfortable enough).

Just another note about condensation, energy efficient windows last longer because condensation can cause premature deterioration of windows, walls and finishes leading to high maintenance and replacement costs.

Energy efficient windows also reduce the noise from outside, which is a feature that most people don't really think about before they buy replacement windows but they do notice and appreciate after they're installed. A quiet, warm, cozy, draftless home is something people truly enjoy.

Depending on your viewpoint, this could be the most important feature of all - energy efficient windows save you a lot of money. By minimizing air leakage and maximizing insulation, you will reduce your energy consumption. Canadians spend about 40% of their energy costs on heating and cooling (the rest goes to power your home, appliances, lights, etc). By reducing energy consumption, you're saving money every single day, which is something that most people we know appreciate and find very comforting!
